Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: August 3138
Description[?]:
The bill aims to regulate certain aspects of issues closely related to the health and well being of the society. Considering that abortions are illegal and that sexually transmitted infections are spreading, we consider that the Government should take a more active stance on spreading contraception. This policy will limit cases of unwanted pregnancies, as well as limit the popularity of illegally carried out abortions or the giving away of children. Furthermore, we hope to see a sharp decline in the numbers of various STIs. Food Labeling has become increasingly important and therefore we propose that food producers shall report all used ingredients, imported food may contain GM ingredients, which shall be made known to the general public and the consumers. With the recently implemented policy packages of decentralization, we consider that also the financing of sports clubs shall be left to regional Governments. The central Government shall take a general regulatory role and supervise major political issues. Disease prevention is cheaper than treating it, therefore our Government should pursue a policy of mandatory vaccinations. While this may be in conflict with some religious beliefs and traditions, we argue that basic human rights - including the right to live - is higher than any religion. The Government shall protect these rights and vaccination is one of the means to ensure that a person can live a dignified life without the threat of catching a disease, which can be easily prevented with a simple vaccine. We hope that our partners from the PGP will understand these measures. |
