| To help balance the Badatran-Majatran budget, the retirement age is being proposed to increase in increments until it is equal to the life expectancy. Though some parties may view this as a distasteful or unfair step, it should be noted that this is merely moving the retirement age to a similar level relative to life expectancy to which it was when the state retirement pensions were originally enacted. As it stands, the worker to beneficiary ratio is too small to support the existing system, contributing to the budget crunch and the collapse of government. |
