This bill aims to solve problems with lack of organs in the Hobrazian health system caused by the presnt opt-in service. Under the new law: People will have assumed to have given consent to have their organs donated People may opt out at any time and this data will be stored on their ID card and/or a seperate card to enable their donation statues to be easily found Organ donation would be opt in for children so as to protect their interests A organ screening program will also be introduced to prevent the transmission of diseases from the donor to the recipient. This bill will come into effect 1 year from the date of it passing. That period will be used to advertise the new system and people will be allowed to opt out at any time during it. |
