Message | "As you've pointed out, we have assumed authority under a treaty arrangement between our two nations to open dialogue on matters of political interest. This bill, in particular, is one that the Liberal Conservative Party of Deltaria must speak up on. What is being proposed here is a piece of legislation that we must urge the parliament to deny passage, both now and at any future point in the reestablishment of the Jelbanian Government. To put it simply, we believe that this is a distinct violation of the civil liberties of your citizens. While we can understand the need for identification in this age of terror, we cannot see the practical application of the mandatory registration of race or religion as being used for many positive or altruistic ends. The Liberal Conservative Party feels that we must protect not only your citizens, but those of the diverse racial and religious backgrounds native to the Federal Republic of Deltaria, in which this legislation jeopardizes if put into the hands of an irresponsible future regime. All people, Jelbanian and Deltarian should have the same degree of humanity attached to their person, and for that reason their race or religion should be irrelevant to the government, thereby making this proposal unwarranted." - Former Chairman of the Republic Jonathan Wies Liberal Conservative Liaison to the Federal Republic of Jelbania for the monitoring of Government Reformation. |

Message | It is the opinion of the CPP that this bill be passed as it would allow better protection of it's citizens, but it does accept that there is a violation of civil right through Article 2. Therefore it proposes the removal of this Article to bring the bill into line with the goals of protecting civilians. |
