Message | Through revenue raised from other sources. For example, Monaco is a tax haven and let me tell you, you haven't seen the meaning of rich until you've been to Monaco. I feel pretty miserable driving a crappy BMW from 2001 knowing that the people of Monaco drive Buggati Veyrons. Anyway, Monaco has no tax and they get most of their revenue from tourism and casinos. Another example is Switzerland which isn't as rich as Monaco and their standard of living is about the same as it is in Germany but they pay no tax due to all the banks there So people who live in tax havens are generally richer and have a higher standard of living than the ones who don't. |

Message | OOC: That's great. The game however does not work like that, we need to tax because thats the only way we have money to fund programs. |

Message | OOC: The PP is correct. The only way for us to do a tax haven here in the game is to decrease taxes. If we take out taxes, then that leaves us with no money at all. Even the surplus won't stay if we take out the taxes. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
