Bill: Repeal the Minimum Wage (3148)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberty Property Peace
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 3149
Description[?]:
Forcing employers to pay workers a wage above the market equilibrium means that they can't afford to hire as many people, less people at work means lower productivity and higher prices, and still the working population must provide for the unemployed despite them not working (as we wouldn't allow anyone to die from poverty). Furthermore, it hinders the young from entering the labor market and showing off their skill and motivation. In summary, the minimum wage destroys the economy. |
