Bill: Government Temporary Shutdown
Details
Submitted by[?]: International Society of Bankers
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2154
Description[?]:
Due to the Deltarian advancement toward the capital, it is necessary to postpone all trivial government activities in order to be fully effective against the Deltarian Invaders. All government responsibilities shall be waved in order to defend Lodamun. The Military shall be fully intergrated with the resistance, and shall answer to the regional resistance commander. All authority over the Nation of Kregon shall temporarily be given to Valruzia. We must leave quickly, as the Deltarians are just days away from Port Andalay. It is for your best interest that you arm yourselves, as all bodyguards have been shipped to the front. This bill gives full authority over the Armed Forces of Lodamun to the Defence Minister, and all government intervention into the affairs of the military are to be waved. A state of temporary shutdown may only last one year at most. |

Message | OOC ; Firstly, we would expect control of the Lodamese Military to be officially passed over to the Deltarian Occupational Forces, with a HUGE rate of desertion to the militias. Secondly, we would expect the government in exile to ratify the Pax Deltaria treaty for the duration of the occupation. http://82.238.75.178:8085/particracy/main/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=138 |

Message | Given the threat to our lives, the following message was recorded, then delivered to a party member in exile, where it was then broadcast. All statements from this point onwards can be assumed to be communicated in such a manner. You call us fascists, when we are nothing of the sort. We have never attempted to suspend the government and/or give full government control to a party member. http://82.238.75.178:8085/particracy/main/viewcabinet.php?nationid=19 We desire to practice our religion in peace. We have been attacked and robbed, and life has been rather unpleasant for us. We desire security and safety at any cost. We simply want to be left alone and trade with one another. Is that really too much to ask? I hope the international community will see the blatant fascism and corruption in this bill. We did not call upon Deltarian assistance because we desired to harm or control anyone, we did so because it was necessary for our protection. @treaties: Neither is going to happen. We have sufficient seats to stop them. |

Message | We oppose any government integration into our armed forces, we do not want hierarchy forced upon our egalitarian militias. At the same time, we will support shutting down the government temporarily |

Message | CNT/AFL: All members of the Armed Forces sho wish to become members of the resistance will join the fight, and all munitions will be given to the resistance. |

Message | Any temporary shutdown is likely to have unexpected, and inexplicable, delays in returning power to the legitimate government. We expect as much from the corrupted Libertarian Militia. This is how democratic representation dies, with approval and applause. |

Message | This is a emergency. We cannot sit and argue about this. By order of the Minister of Defence this bill has now been activated. Please leave the building and head to [CENSORED], there you will be taken care of. |

Message | Without a vote even. Even more than we expected. We refuse to "immediately leave the building". We trust anyone over you thugs. |

Message | Your choice. I wouldnt want to be here when the Deltarians arrive. |
Date | 20:22:40, November 23, 2005 CET | From | Juche Front (The Resistance) | To | Debating the Government Temporary Shutdown |
Message | The resistance is now the government. Government continues to function, outside areas controlled by the Deltarians and their fascist Remannt lackeys. The ministry of education continues to operate schools in the liberated zones, with Juche teachings and military self-defence added to the curriculum. |
