Bill: Cannabis legalisation bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Likaton Fascist Front
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2146
Description[?]:
Currently there are no laws governing receational drugs of any sort. The PSS feels that this ambiguity needs some firm laws in place, rather than the uncertainty that currently exists. Cannabis is a relatively soft drug and we would be giving peace of mind to recreational users who use this drug in their own homes. We also feel that if cannabis is legalised the current black market would collapse, along with the associated profiteering dealers. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The recreational drug policy.
Old value:: There are no laws regulating what citizens can put into their bodies.
Current: There are no laws regulating what citizens can put into their bodies.
Proposed: The use of cannabis is legal.

Message | This would indeed then make other recreational drug use illegal. Cannabis is already legal. There is no black market. Those trading in cannabis under current law are legitimate, as long as they follow all other regulations and laws. |
