Message | The LUC would support this. The government should have a broad of what a religion is, but organizations should not be able to claim divine inspirations to not pay their dues to society. -Mika Murran Chancellor of the Liberals United for Change |

Message | "It is not for the Government to say what is faith and what is not. Does the Supreme President presume to make windows into men's souls?" Tamasa Bhatti, Unionist Senatorial Lead. |

Message | "A slippery slope to allowing just about anyone claim to be a religion." That is an actual quote from the Unionist. They claim the government has no right to say what faith is and isn't but that quote says different. What is it that the Unionist want? I say nothing, they want nothing done to help this country. -James Robert, head of the FRPP. |

Message | "We do want nothing. Nothing changed to this matter at all. The law is fine as it stands. Faith is about the spirit not about the wallet." Tamasa Bhatti, Unionist Senatorial Lead. |
Date | 22:17:33, September 08, 2011 CET | From | United Liberal Caucus | To | Debating the Religion Reform of 3178 |
Message | Faith is great, but to allow anyone to claim divine inspiration to avoid taxes is wrong. As we said the government should have a broad definition of religion but this bill is sound. -Grace S. Lough LUC Culture Secretary |
Date | 16:57:48, September 09, 2011 CET | From | Chann National Party (CNP) | To | Debating the Religion Reform of 3178 |
Message | While we do not endorse or support any religion, the Chann Democratic Party must vote NO on this issue since it will grant the government power over which religion's are recognized and not recognized and which ones are taxed and so forth. Religion is a CHOICE and should be left to be made as freely as possible. To tax certain religions that are so called "false" would be to 1) Breach the wall of separation between church and state, and 2) Provide an avenue through which one religion will eventually gain a majority with in the country. Sotear Chann, Founder and Chairman Chann Democratic Party |
