The "Act to Restore, Reform & Protect Civil Liberties" seeks to address concerns voiced by members of the citizenry in regards to the role of government and its infringement on certain liberties that ought to be protected, not infringed upon, by the government. On the proposal's regarding marriage: It is contradictory to say that the government has no stance on marriage when it has made illegal polygamy and has set restrictions on foreign marriages. The government should have no say whatsoever in the personal relationships of its citizenry, regardless if it offends one sect of the population. |
