MessageOut Of Character: Okedoke, I have added this to the Executive Orders Page for reference here (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=325334). As this is all legal and binding, I reccomend it is moved to vote for reference.

For players wanting to know more about Exective Orders & how to use them, the format for an Order may be found in any of the pieces listed in the link above & the legislation that allows this is found here; (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=257919)

MessageCan the Supreme President guarantee to us that this executive order will
Not establish a dangerous precedent? Circumventing the Senate is effectively a disregard for the will of the people. Now, anytime a cabinet proposal fails, the executive will simply bypass the Senate and do as he or she wills? That's a very dangerous precedent. Labour must br convinced that this will not destroy our republic. Labour is willing to file an injunction and a court order in the Supreme Court to stop this.

Your move, Mr. President.

MessageA disregard for the people is blocking the mandate they gave the Supreme President upon his election and thwarting every attempt he makes at forming his administration. If Mr. Schroeder were to look into the history of executive orders, there have only been eight issued in over three hundred years the Supreme President has had such power. That is equivalent of roughly three every hundred years.

If the Senate fails to compromise and grinds itself into non-stop gridlock, the Supreme President must do what he has to. The Senate gave the Supreme President this right, it is a tool he is equipped with to ensure he does what was promised to voters. The Supreme Court cannot overturn this executive order if the Senate passed legislation authorizing the Supreme President to make executive orders. I would encourage Labor to do its research and learn the traditions of Solentian government rather than making baseless and bold accusations that hold no truth to them.

MessageThe FIP can use all the legal jargon it wants. The fact is that they are circumventing the electoral process. Any "mandate" that you speak of hinges on the ability of the Supreme President to form a government acceptable to the Senate.

We hope that the Senate will turn this proposal down, and support a suit to keep the Supreme President from moving forward if this proposal is defeated.

It is, in fact, the FIP that are incorrect in their political assessment of the situation. At a time when 22 Senate seats remain vacant and two political parties retain only Shadow senators, the FIP continues to cling to the office of the Supreme Presidency with too firm of a grip. Only early elections can truly bring about the proper alignment needed to move Solentia forward.

MessageAs a point of clarification, Labour is aware of the past authorization of the executive order. We were speaking under the pretense that this new executive order would similarly needed to be approved first.

MessageNot much seems to have changed in the Labor Party's heritage, as this is seemingly familiar to its predecessor. A lot of talk with no substance, change for the sake of change, and limousine liberalism at its very worst. Essentially, everything that makes Solentians cringe.

There are those who discredit and ignore such "legal jargon", but there are also such things as rules and laws. This is one of those cases and by refusing to acknowledge democratically installed rules, the Labor Party demonstrates how truly unintelligible it is.

MessageThe Federal Independent Party cannot govern. In that they cannot create a majority, or are unable to negotiate enough to so do. How can they government have any power if it is not supported by the majority of the people? The United Liberal Caucus is outraged!

MessageSpare me the drama, Senator. The fact remains that rather that the FIP resorts to lowly political insults and mudslinging to conceal its desire to cling to power as long as it can despite being unable to put together a coalition. We will do what we can to gain the 2/3 vote needed to override this decree.

Message"I would remind the Labour Party that Executive Orders do not need Senate approval. They would however be undone with a 2/3rd vote in the Senate of a vote specificially called to undo it once passed. I would also remind them that the Supreme President has appointed to cabinet by Executive Order before. Just clarifying fact."

Unionist Senatorial Lead.
