Bill: Call for early elections, July 2145

Details

Submitted by[?]: Mouvement des Conservateurs

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: March 2146

Description[?]:

Colleagues,

The elections of May 2145 turned out miserable, only 16% (+6 Million) of the voters showed up and apparently there were allot of LRP voters (It seems that my party has the most loyal voters :p). But when you look at the results, the LRP only gained +3 Million votes which with a turnout of approx. 70% would result into only 11! seats for my party, but the turnout was only 16% so you see where this is going...

I propose we call for early elections, my majority is not really democratic!

Regards.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
