Message | In some areas, like urban and densely populated regions, concealed-carry laws are arguably less desirable than in some other lower-density, rural areas. We believe that local governments are in the best position to regulate concealed-carry laws in their own domains based on the values and community standards of their locale. |

Message | This cannot be supported by United Liberal Caucus. These permits should be the minimum level that people must cross to carry concealed weapons. -Grace S. Lough Speaker of the United Liberal Caucus |

Message | There is too large of a range of communities for one national proposal to address this type of issue. Clearly there are some areas in which owning a concealed weapon is more prudent than others. Rural and isolated towns and villages could absolutely benefit from this in areas where it could legitimately be desired for self protection. On an issue like this, policies that work in urban areas tend to be less effective in rural areas and vise versa. This is about respecting the local communities' best interests. |
