Message | Actually, scratch that. I have to vote nay. With the first one, I'm not so sure; what kind of stuff would you be banning? ANYTHING that criticizes the government? (As in: "I don't like our current government, since it isn't lowering taxes"), or stuff that directly assaults the government as an institution (As in: "We must march up to the Sejm, burn it to the ground, and murder all the MP's!") For the second one, I'm thinking of a system of check's and balances here; under the current system, if some fanatics who wish to commit genocide come in control of the army, then there will at least be a police force to oppose them. Likewise, if the head of police is some genocidal maniac, the army will be there to oppose him. |

Message | Since the police are largely unarmed that argument has no credability. |

Message | In your own party hierarchy for a start! The recent death of all members of the legislative bodies was either orchastrated by international terrorists or was a sign from God that he is unhappy with our lawnessness. |
Date | 13:34:44, November 25, 2005 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the Emergency Legislation Order 1 of 2145/46 |
Message | International Terrorists would be a valid hypothesis, except that the Sejm seems to be intact. Sign of God is a rather more shaky hypothesis, about as provable as ID. |

Message | God has punished mankind before. This time he targetted his aggression at political leaders instead of the common man. We must be more Christian! |

Date | 07:58:59, November 26, 2005 CET | From | Luthori Green Party | To | Debating the Emergency Legislation Order 1 of 2145/46 |
Message | UCP, you miss the point, the older parties want no part in this, as the voting record shows, and that means those who want to dramatically alter Luthori can go to a new nation and try there. So goodbye. |
Date | 15:51:31, November 26, 2005 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Emergency Legislation Order 1 of 2145/46 |
Message | It's the number of seats that count, not the age of the parties. If the leaders of your party don't take this opportunity to leave the Holy land of Luthori then the wanton criminals amongst their number will be dealt with accordingly -- trial by fire! |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
Random quote: "When we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, 'Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!'" - Martin Luther King Jr. |
