Voting deadline: May 3206
Description[?]:
Whereas: The poorest members of our society spend most, if not all, of their hard earned wages on essential goods such as food, clothing, and shelter; And they are the hardest hit in any economic downturn, as well as meing most likely to be employeed in retail trade; Therefore: We propose that the sales tax on essential goods be eliminated. This would only reduce the 15 million Lik surplus by under 2 million, give the poor greater disposable income, and stimulate retail trade in these goods. |
