| OOC: Just to let you know, the Imperial General Staff was supporting Octavius, and thus in the coup was overthrown. Thus the next group of military generals got promoted. Venegoor is one of them and is the Field Marshal of the Imperial Armed Forces. However there is still the Branch Chiefs and the other two top Imperial General Staff Generals, that of Imperial Logistics, and Imperial Intellegence (While equal with Venegoor in theory, they tend to fall behind him when he as top commander needs it). Also the Emperor is in theory Commander-in-Chief, but the Chancellor holds the power t execute the duties of the Emperor unless the Emperor takes direct control. So in the end the Chancellor is still the top commander of the military. New Chancellor is the best friend of the Emperor since childhood and also the son of the previous Chancellor, Octavius. As for Minister of Defense, he is basically responsible for the representation of the military to the Government and to make sure that the money funded to the Military is allocated properly. Basically he has very little power. IC: Be it enacted by the Imperial Parliament of Imperia Narikaton that, His Majesty's Imperial Armed Forces is to be reformed, reorganized and retrained for the purposes of producing a new and reinvigorated military that shall once again be a shining example throughout Terra. With the passing of this Mandate, the Parliament gives its approval for any reforms that the Imperial Field Marshal of the Imperial General Staff sees fit to enact. By doing so this Parliament will fund such reforms and establish a Military Fund to allow private investors to begin purchasing bonds for the purposes of the military to expand its financial resources. In conclusion, with the increase of funding and the approval for all future military reforms approved by the Imperial Parliament the sole responsibility for the Venegoor Military Reforms shall rest in the Imperial Field Marshal's office of the Imperial General Staff Headquaters. -Submitted by the Government on behalf of Field Marshal Lord Jan Af Venegoor OOC: Baiscally what the Mandate is doing is increasing funds by establishing a private market for people to invest in for the military and allowing the military to be reformed and refitted so that it can once again be a strong force like it was before the Second Narik War. The Navy is current the strongest branch due to the lose of most of the Mainland. Navy also is the latest and ost uptodate branch. The last General Staff and Chancellor felt we did not need to upgrade or reform, so this we stagnated. With the passing of this bill and Venegoor being seen as an unknown military administration and commanding genius it is expected that in a few years the military and officier classes will be top notch again. |
