Message | Mr. Speaker, The LDP believes that fishing quotas is a local government issue. The local government should take responsibility in maintaining fish population and biodiversity of the aquatic ecosystems. The national government should only deal with fishing quotas if a species is threaten or endangered by a local government's lack of protection of a fish species from out of control fishing.
