Bill: Foreign Marriages and Civil Unions
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Conservatives
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3222
Description[?]:
Our government points towards the fact that we regulate marriage and secular unions in order to make sure citizens have equal rights no matter their sexual orientation. Leaving the recognition of foreign unions to local government makes discrimination possible. Our government believes the state should respect unions between consenting adults - whether they involve citizens or foreigners - and guarantee freedom from discrimination to both under the law. |
