Bill: Coalition Governmentof February 3222
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Conservatives
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3222
Description[?]:
Because the recent election brought a minority legislature where nobody has enough power to pass laws without cooperation and compromise, we believe the way forward is through an inclusive coalition government. We suggest numbers by percentage and appointments by areas of policy we're more likely to agree on. We have 39.20% of the legislature which means 4.7 (5 after we round up) seats of 12 in government. Tory ACN members have 37% of the legislature which means 4.44 (4 after we round down) seats of 12 in government. Labour members have 23.80% of the legislature which means 2.8 (3 after we round up) of 12 seats in government. We hope our Tory ACN and Labour colleagues agree that working together trumps an unstable minority. |

Random fact: Don't vote yes on a cabinet coalition that doesn't give you the power that you deserve. |
