Bill: The Government Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Chinkopodian Economic Democrats
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2147
Description[?]:
I've been wondering; why are we calling our government The Senate; that's an English term, and the Englars are predominantly north of here. I realise that our people can understand English, but as Quev said - "If you speak to a man in a language he can understand, it goes to his head; if you speak to a man in his language it goes to his heart." Thus I propose to give our Senate a Darnussian name, to bring our people closer to our politics. |

Message | I think there should be a translation of the national anthem, but it should be available offsite. Otherwise it would be too confusing. |

Message | NLA, that would just be confusing. Image if an RL leader was called "Prime Minister; El Ministro Premiero" or "President; Presidente". "Tony Blair, the Prime Minister El Ministro Premiero of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland today announced....." |

Message | No I mean the Darnussian translation of Senate is what we should use. I actually think that it's neat that you created titles in Darnussian as well as a language for this particracy nation. I just think that when we present ourselves to the world, it should be in English like all nations do. When a diplomat or a foreign leader is introduced at a worldwide conference, it is usually under an English title. However, we should include these Darnussian names in all our wiki articles so that people can have a look at the Darnussian language. |
