Bill: Changing the national motto

Details

Submitted by[?]: Togetherness Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 3237

Description[?]:

For far too long we've had the national motto "Workers of the world, unite!"
We have to accept that as a society, we cannot be in favour of a certain group of people. We have to support everybody equally, and having a national motto which is biased on just a part of our population.
We suggest that we change the motto to "It's greater to love than to hate" since people need to be reminded of this.
A society built on love is a successful society.

MessageOur nation was build by workers. It is from and for the working class, and as such it represents the people.
We, of the Communist Party oppose this bill.

MessageAll classes in society belongs to society, we can't simply ignore other classes.
The message of love however, is a message that we all can share.
Next on the agenda might be changing the lyrics of the national anthem to something that describes the country rather than the politics in the country.

MessageAll classes are not equal. The bourgeouisie has nothing to contribute but lies, trickery and making others work for their money.
The only people worthy of mention are the proud men and women of the working class! They build this land, and they will continue to do so despite your effords to take their glorious banner down!

MessageWe're not trying to "take their glorious banner down" or dishonor them. But the working class isn't superior to any other class (and no other class is superior to the working class). How can you call yourself socialist when you don't believe in equality? If you don't believe in equality, you are not better than the capitalists! Saying that the working class is superior to the rest is fascism and not equality.

MessageAny true socialist will understand and grasp the materialist principle of class struggle. The bourgeouisie is not equal to the working class because it bars process and contributes nothing of significance to society. All they do is drag it down, it is only the working class in whose interest it is to develop the country and strive towards Communism. And as such the working class is superior to any and all other classes.
It is nice to see that you are claiming we are fascist, for it is your party which wishes to allow for private media and other forms where fascist propaganda has historically rapidly spread. Fascists unlike you, do understand class-struggle. It is so to speak Socialism for the bourgeouisie. Whereas we support Socialism for the proletariat.

MessageWe support SOCIALDEMOCRACY and not communism. There doesn't have to be any bloodshed, or even hard feelings between the classes. Just equality, respect and love.
We believe in a society where everyone can find love and happiness, be them bourgeouisie or working class.

MessageClass unity is a bourgeouisie myth created to subjugate the working classes. As such your party good sir, is capitalist.
How can there be equality when there are people living off off huge profits while others work in factories for low wages - working harder. How can there be respect when your boss is jelling at you, and is allowed to do so because he can fire you at will. How can there be a love for a person who exploits and humiliates you every single day of your life?
It is simple dear sir, you are a hypocrite.

MessageWell, since we believe in equality, we believe that the difference in salary should be as small as possible and that the workers have the same rights as their bosses.
