Message | And so the LGB proves that all its declared "principles" to date are nothing but a farce, and destroys itself in the process. It speaks in its "ten key values" of "social justice and equal opportunity", yet it represses the free expression of religious belief. It speaks of "community-based economics", yet it supports the transference of autonomy away from the community. It speaks of "respect for diversity", yet shows zero respect for the diversity of opinions and viewpoints. It speaks of "personal and global responsibility", yet shows contempt for the free agency of individuals and their ability to act responsibly. And it speaks of "decentralisation", yet it supports one of the most centralist policy agendas ever proposed since the foundation of the federal republic. It claims as one of its main "party achievements" the fact that it helped to "eliminate the ban on religion, a holdover from communist rule". Yet here it turns around and supports... a ban on religion. We disagree with many of the values that the LGB holds, or at least, the ways that the LGB tries to realise those values. But it should be cause for the utmost concern to the electorate that the LGB has shown itself to be sham party, doing nothing more than acting as a facilitator for the socialists' lunatic agenda. It is a party without a core, yet again selling itself out to the socialist bloc, for which it has been a reliable lackey. The LGB claims to be driven by a desire to counter the centralisation of power. The first part of its name, of all things, boasts of its "libertarianism". So what is left of the LGB as a viable, distinct force in politics, when it abandons the very principle that justifies its existence? Mark my words: this year will be remembered as the year in which the LGB committed suicide. - Michael Hanke, Vorsitzender der Konservativen Partei. |
