MessageMr Speaker,

The Church clearly indicates that while all homosexuals are not necessarily bad people, homosexuality in and of itself is a sin. To allow homosexuals to adopt children would be unnatural. There is a reason why two men or two women cannot have children of their own, God did not intend it, or else He would have made it possible.

That being said, we could support article 4 within very specific circumstances.

I yield.

As some members of Holy Imperial Diet could be ready to support article 4, but not other articles, we have decided to make new seperate bill for military service of women.

I yield.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I must commend to my right honourable colleagues in the Secular Party the comments of our right honourable colleagues in the Constitutionalist Imperial League that this Bill, in its present form, is not acceptable to the Constitutional National Party.

I would further remind the Secular Party that Pope Paul III of the Selucian Catholic Church has reiterated the Church's traditional teaching (and the faith of the Apostles and Fathers) on this matter once again, in his latest encyclical, In Splendoribus Sanctorum, that homosexuality, while not in and of itself sinful, is nevertheless a tendency toward grave sin, and that homosexual relationships remain gravely immoral.

It is therefore highly unlikely that His Imperial and Most Excellent Majesty's government will support this Bill.

The Constitutional National Party might, however, be prepared to support Article II, in the interests of both charity and pragmatism.

I yield the floor.
