Message | A first draft on the resolution to define 'recognised religions'. We welcome comment and contribution, particularly on what level article 2 should be set at. |

Message | What accounts are being published in article 3? Financial? The provisions you have set out are accetable from our point of view but we still remain uncomfortable with the concept of "reocgnised religions" but we will swallow this until we can think of something better. |

Message | What gives anyone the right to catagorise or list anyone's religious belief. I've always thought that the whole 'recognised religions' policy is one of selectivism and division. Therefore any moves to regulate it will be opposed by us. |

Message | Aside from also being interested in the contents of article 3 how about the x persons in article 2 being somewhere near the equation we have now for how many people each seat in senate represents. |

Message | LL: "Accounts" is in reference to financial accounts, that is correct. RSA: There are a number of provisos in Baltusian law which refer to recognised religions, yet nowhere a statement of what that means. You must either back a resolution defining that, or else place the current laws up for revision. BPA: So then you would want a certain % of the population to follow a religion in order for it to be recognised? What % would you suggest? |

Message | Whatever % of the population that it takes up in an electoral district for a single seat in the Baltusian federal senate. |
Date | 08:44:02, November 30, 2005 CET | From | Txurruka/Aperribai/Mayoz's OPX | To | Debating the Resolution: Recognised Religions |
Message | It shouldnt be a percentage, especially since the electorates arent based on percentages. The current electorate system aims for around 150 000 people (which needs to be updated before the next election), so should that be the benchmark? |

Message | I find it reasonable does anyone object to it? |

Message | IC: Sounds about right. OOC: Its funny though that in my humble opinion, it should only require 100 or so people to start a political party, with which you could come to be in charge of all the schools in Baltusia, but it takes 150 000 to start a religion so you can be in charge of a few. |

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire. |
