The Royal Family announced today that H.M. the Grand Emir has died, aged 89, as a result of a cardiac arrest. As dictated by royal and local tradition, H.M. the Grand Emir will be buried in the family burial site at the Royal Mosque within 24 houres.

Crown Prince Husayn will be crowned as Kafuristan's new Monarch after the royal period of mourning. His full title will be:

His Majestic Holiness, Hussayn I, Caliph of the Abadi, Grand Emir of the Abadi Sultanate of Kafuristan, Custodian of the Holy City of Helem and Holder of the Holy Code of Law, Emir of Emirs, Descendant of the Holy Prophet Muhammed, Succesor of the Holy Prophet Ranz'riah, Servant of Akim, Defender of the Abadi Faith, Commander of the Faithful, Champion of the People, Sword of Justice, Guardian of the Opal and Sapphire Emirates, Father of the Nation, The Most Merciful & etc.

The Government and Armed Forces of Kafuristan pledge their full alligiance to the new Grand Emir.
