Bill: Prostitution Act 3257
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Vorona Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 3258
Description[?]:
Simply said, drugs are not allowed, why should prostitution? I do not believe the government nor people of Vorona want to be known or viewed as the place with men and women strutting on the streets asking for cheap sex - especially for the use of drugs or alcohol. If its an employment issue, look for a decent job - theres plenty out there. I just believe its embarassing to drive down streets and to view such a scene. Vorona is not dirty in any way as we keep it clean and great, so lets clean up. |

Message | And by keeping it legal makes our country look good? Excuse the langauge, but I sure dont want to see sluts walking around trying to get their next "trip/hit". |
Date | 10:06:43, February 12, 2012 CET | From | Liberal Alliance | To | Debating the Prostitution Act 3257 |
Message | I'm afraid we cannot support this bill. Firstly as the SLPV said, it will only create underground syndicates. Secondly, most prostitutes are simply desperate women who need to feed themselves and often their children. Unemployment is high in this country and it would be difficult for them to find other jobs. If anything, government should recognise prostition as an official job so that we can curb physical and drug abuse. |
