MessageMr. Speaker,

This is a proposal we have put forward ourselves before, and it well deserves to be implemented. Every worker should have the right to belong to a union, but they should also have the right to not join one.

MessageMr Speaker,

As is well known the Trade Unions represent the working class. How can they possibly and correctly represent the working class if not every worker is a member of this union. It should off course be noted as many aristocrats here probably will not realize, that membership does not equal participation. There are NO obligations outside of membership.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Trade unions can recruit members through the power of persuasion and through the advantages they offer to their members. They should not recruit members through compulsory enrolment!!! Let us also not forget, by the way, that in order to belong to a trade union it is normally required that you pay a membership fee. Why should anybody be compelled to pay a membership fee towards and organisation they do not want to be a member of?
