Message | Mr. Speaker, What the Catholics are proposing here is expensive and unneccesary, we actually believe the current system is such as well. But given the circumstances supporting the current system is best. Additionally, people HAVE the right to appeal. |

Message | Mr Speaker, We support this change to our justice system. The judiciary and justice system should be independent from the government and from politicians and in order to ensure that appeals can be heard without bias appeals should be to the higher courts and not the Minister of Justice |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We'd like to remind the government that the Minister of Defense is in fact a member of the judicial system, and is a judge much like the other judge who will hear the case in the other courts. Having the Minister of Defense hear cases and decide which have merit is a strong system that has been successfully used in several nations. We can cut down on court's waiting times, and we can stop ridicolous and foolish cases from being brought before a court, and wasting that courts time. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, There are ways to improve the efficiency of the appeals system which would not involve surrendering the civil liberties of our citizens to the whims of the Minister of Justice. Leroy Adams (Chairman of the CPU) |
