Bill: Car Ownership Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Catholic Political Union
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3268
Description[?]:
The CPU is committed to tackling global warming and traffic congestion, and supports moves to limit car usage and make car fuel more environmentally-friendly. However, we are concerned that the current legislation unfairly discriminates against families. There are situations where a family really does need 2 cars in order to get by. Take a situation, for example, where both partners work and need to use a car to get to work in the morning, but cannot share the same car because their workplaces are in opposite directions. A more flexible policy is needed. |
