Message1. Crime has certainly increased: the prohibition of alcohol and tobacco is nothing more than an ill-judged measure; history has proven that such laws can only lead to flagrant disregard for the law, lack of respect for government through the refusal to follow laws, increase in the population who are deemed criminals but who under normal circumstances would be law-abiding citizens, the increase in violence as organized crime groups battle over new sources of revenue, and the general increase in the cost of these vices which will serve to merely bankrupt those who engage in those activities.

2. Local governments are closer to the people and therefore better able to determine important legislation for their communities as well as more closely watch the budgets & expenditures of their governments. Local government is beautiful.

We Imperialists find it odd that the Communists do not support the ability of the people to judge for themselves their own health care laws through local government as well as their abilities to determine the intake of alcohol and tobacco products. This general disregard for the ability of the people to decide reveals the Communists lack of respect and trust in the people they claim to "lead".

Apparently, just like "father", Communists "know best".

MessageУ нас такие реформы уже были в 90-х. И знаете к чему это привело? К полному развалу системы здравоохранения. До сих пор восстановится не можем.

MessageThis is not your country, this is Trigunia. It long had these policies (for nearly 200 years) before the TPT changed it to a centralized nanny welfare state! Power to the people! Power to the Oblasts!

MessageOOC: Oh, also, my country (USA) had a ten year period of prohibition of alcohol ... yea, that did not turn out so well. Everything that i identified ( and more) were the results of prohibition.

Besides, should Trigunians have the freedom to decide for themselves or should they have someone telling them how to behave and what to consume. It seems like unnecessary micromanagement to me.
