MessageMr. Speaker,

There is no historical legacy of over-logging. Current legislation has been in place for more then 100 years.

MessageMr. Speaker,

If we take this proposal to its logical conclusion, increasing the area of forests in our nation over time, eventually there will be no new areas to plant trees, once all areas have been planted to replace current logging. Clearly impossible, isn't it?

MessageMr. Speaker,

This proposal will slowly increase Telamon's forest land over a number of years, which is exactly what we need, both for the environment and for the long-term future of our logging industry. The DAP suggestion is highly amusing but just not serious. There is no intention to transform the whole of Telamon into a massive forest!
