Bill: 3273 Health Reforms
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluz Democratic Karavist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 3273
Description[?]:
Health reforms for the upcoming year. We see no reason to discount contraceptives; we would be taking money from each citizen to go to a cause that will benefit the few. Many persons are against contraceptives for religious reasons; it would be unfair to take their money to put to a cause which they neither support nor benefit from. In the same way, we are opposed to religion being tax-free, because religious institutions occupy land without paying taxes, when the land could be used for something else, either beneficial to all invidividuals, and if not so, the occupation of the land would at least be paid for, so the people would benefit. |

Message | The first and last look kind of funky, ill let the first get away for now but not the last proposal. Freedom of religion yes but i'm not having an outbreak of smallpox because some person decides to opt out because of religion, simply put every child must be vaccinated. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, In regards to Article 9 (the last proposal), you should try to compare the current law to the one being proposed; which do you prefer? |
Date | 17:08:18, March 13, 2012 CET | From | Congress Federation | To | Debating the 3273 Health Reforms |
Message | Why not just have a blanket mandate? If protecting the general populace means "impeding" on religion then go for it. The good of the many must come before the few |

Message | Again, I insist you focus on the comparison. A blanket mandate would impede on civil rights. |

Message | So when we lose one million people to a new strand of smallpox because Jane wasn't vaccinated what will you say then? It is about minimizing risk. Cant shout fire in a crowded room, that's disturbance etc., all liberties have their boundaries |

Message | no the current is not better but why not ask for a blanket mandate regardless of religion, one must think of the greater public body |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
