Bill: Prostitution Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social Libertarian Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2048
Description[?]:
The fact that prostitution exists in Beluzia is undebatable, as is the fact that laws in place to illegalize prostitution do not benefit society in any way. By having laws against prostitution, we suffer through 1) having to commit extra spending to law enforcement; 2) having to suffer higher rates of crime as a result of pimping; and 3) having our civil liberties infringed upon by the reactionary idea that one must be prevented from having sex if one is to pay for it. The government is in absolutely no position to determine what is morally right or wrong in this regard. Therefore, we aim to legalize prostitution of one's body. This will eliminate much of the violence that results from prostitution, lower government spending on law-enforcement, and increase the liberty from government that is necessary for our people to be truly free. |

Message | While we will vote yes for the time being, we think that prostitution should be considered a job like any other. If we are to legalize prostitution, then the profession should be given equal right among others, and its practicants a voice to defend themselves. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
