Message | Opposed. We prefer the current system, which allows free school choice and meeting every student's individual strengths and demands. Jennifer Howard GNP Spokeswoman for Education and Culture |
Date | 18:57:33, March 28, 2012 CET | From | Unity | To | Debating the Unity Education Proposals |
Message | Choice is in no way limited here. Private schools are simply obliged to live up to a minimum of educational quality, but perhaps the GNP prefers sub-standard knowledge for many students? The government of the nation as of today spends far too little attention to innovation and education. The simple truth is that the better educated the people is, and the more have the ability to persue higher levels of education, the greater economic and social development becomes. And in this respect, the current system is failing the young people who will shape the Dranland of tomorrow. Juan Simón Spokesman on education and culture |

Message | Mr. Simón, you are consequently ignoring the fact that the private sector has brought most innovations in our history, not the government, not the state and not a tax-funded, bloated public education system! You want poor children to be stuck in public schools and rob them of the chances and opportunities a diverse private educational system is offering them! Is that your idea of progress? Jennifer Howard GNP Spokeswoman for Education and Culture |
Date | 19:27:03, March 28, 2012 CET | From | Unity | To | Debating the Unity Education Proposals |
Message | You are attacking provisions of the bill that don't exist. Private schools are not banned. Nobody forces anyone to go anywhere in this act. You should really read it before making comment on it. Rather, choice increases as pupils and parents are not stuck with an all-private selection anymore. In all of history, innovation has come from that people have been EDUCATED. Education on a high level has allowed more innovation, more growth and better social conditions in all countries across the world. The current education system denies large sections of the people of this country the ability to persue higher education; damaging to the individual, damaging to the economy, damaging to society. It cannot stand. Juan Simón Spokesman on education and culture |

Message | We wish to ask where in the system does the current policies prevent large sections of people. Under the current system, student who can't afford to attend a private school are receiving vouchers to attend the schools. So we are to vote no on this measure. |
