Bill: POW Policy

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical New Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2150

Description[?]:

Why should we keep the POW's here when we can just send them back to their country? They aren't ours to take care of, they are not our citizens, and the longer they stay here the more we look bad. Is this a prison-state?

MessageI don't think having POWs during wartime either makes us look bad or suggests we are a prison state.

MessageIt's a matter of not sending trained soldiers who are told to kill us back their nation to do so again. This a foolish and irresponsible policy. I'd also prefer to look 'bad' (though I do not see how) in the eyes of the international community that look bad int he eyes of the people who very well could die right here in our state if we just let those who surrender re-join the fight.

Are we a sucker-state?

MessageI don't believe we are a sucker-state. Whatever that means. I believe that even prisoners of war deserve rights, and prisons and camps are not the place for them.
