Message | The current regulations are sufficient. To article 1, we acknowledge the necessity of protecting endangered animals, but want to subdelegate this to local governments, who have better knowledge about regional species and whether they shall be protected or not. Article 2 reduces consumer choice and hinders innovation in farming. The consumer shall decide via the free market which chemicals shall be used used in agriculture. Article 3 is a no-go to us. This would lower producitivity, boost prices, kill jobs and severely damage the prosperity of our economy. Marit Jensson (GNP) Minister for Environment and Tourism |

Message | Destroying priceless natural value in the pursuit of short-sighted profit is utter betrayal of coming generations, who have as much of a claim to it as we do. It would also lay waste to the toursim sector, for who wants to see a wasteland country? Emissions and and pesticides must be controlled to keep nature and the health of both people and animals out of harm's way. And an endangered animal is an endangered animal is an endangered animal. There is nothing to discuss here, it should not be hunted down and exterminated. |

Message | Economic growth is one of the best ways to take care of future generations, therefore you missed the point when you depicted us as greedy capitalists who only care for the 'short-sighted profit' of businesses. Secondly, not the government must control the people's health, but the people themselves. Let them decide through the marketplace which products they favor. We agree that tourism is important. But with emission restrictions, you would damage the tourist business by increasing prices for airlines and other branches of infrastructure which are crucial in this area.
