| The Konservative Volkspartei believes that the military of Dorvik is falling behind the rest of the world on humanitarian grounds. The continued production and stock piling of chemical and nuclear weapons must come to an end. Dorvik is a peaceful country and has no need for offensive weapons. By continuing to produce and stockpile these weapons we also increase the risk of an accident or even an intentional act of terrorism being committed within Dorvik or on one of our allies. I am not proposing a cut in defense funding, if anything it should be increased, but directed to more defensive programs. |

| Message | This is quite a difficult topic to discuss. Nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, the curse of our era, but also a sign of how far we made it in revealing the mysteries of mother nature. And this proposal is something not only Dorvik but the whole world needs. We are not speaking of small arms or military vehicles. What we talk about are weapons of mass destruction. If we would ever use them, the consequences will catch us sooner than some of you may expect. While the Sozialistische Neuwirtschaftspartei supports the production of new equipment and technology for the military, we see the danger lying in the named weapon categories, and support disarmament of these weapons. |
