MessageI do like the idea of developing local political RP. Governors ought to go to the largest party in the state, in my opinion. The rest I agree to. The council system is not one I am familiar with. Is it British?

MessageYes, I always forget about Governors because we don't have them hear. Governors being the largest party makes sense to me, too. That would work alongside Mayorals.

Local Councils are a British system but in our case, I suppose we're talking something more equiv. to a state legislature? But the idea being that parties in a state legislature might be dramatically different in power in comparison to the national Senate. In Britain, it is often the case that even in a Labour Government, many local countils are ran by coalitions of other parties.

MessageI think it'd be fair to look at them as state legislatures of sorts. The way we could do it would be to run it essentially by the percentages given in each state in the election. For instance, Nukeya state legislature would have gone 48.94% to Crowns, 24.47% to 2406, etc., in the last election. That's pretty drastically different than the nation as a whole.

MessageThat's right and, in Nukeya as an example, the Crowns would have been able to govern with the Unionists as a legislature and had the players wanted; passed local policies as part of RP where powers are devolved to that level. A newsstory on Nukeya's new education system or something etc. I think, if it worked properly, it could develop RP and make it richer.

I especially like having Governors and Mayors, who I think will come into internal party politics and give players a few more backgrounds to their characters. I.e a leader who hasn't gone Senator-Leader-Supreme President.

MessageYeah, I'm definitely in favor of this and would be willing to begin the RP of these institutions as soon as the next election, so long as everyone else agrees. Is anyone good with Paint or another illustration program? I found this image from Cobura: http://images.wikia.com/particracy/images/b/b5/Default.jpg that can be filled with the corresponding colors of the composition of their legislature, and I think to have one for Solentia's 425 seats would be cool. It's kind of unrelated but I am a fan of graphics and I figured this would be a good place to ask.

MessageI'll await everyone's agreement but start writing up a full proposal, ready.

That is a nice graphic; I love stuff like that. Makes it more real. How many seats does Corbura have?

MessageIf I recall correctly it's like 625 in the picture or something close to there. I tried making one but it was a lot more... almost cathedral-esque in its setup. I couldn't get it to look right.

MessageI like this idea. Also, because of the in depth RP, would anyone else be interested in possibly setting up a free external website where we can more easily and graphically post such things as news outlets, state legislatures and such.... the forum and this here is a bit... to cloudy for all the extra RP.

Maybe the site can just host all the extra RP that we've tacked on to the regular gameplay.

MessageBASICALLY.... taking all the OOC's and stuff from the wiki and compiling it into a social network site for just RP. We can organize it better and make it more user friendly.

I am exploring options and will present an example over the weekend or soonish.

MessageBring an example so I can better understand what you mean. An offsite forum would be easy to set up and other nations have done it before.
