Bill: Local Police Departments Act

Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2150

We believe that government should be involved in the police force but that local governments are best able to enforce the law as they are closer to the people they serve and so that the operation is done by local governments who know their local laws that may be different from laws in other states.

MessageSurely it makes sense for there to be local police forces as each state has different laws as we are a federal republic

MessageThis will only mean that certain areas will become lawless as there will no longer be a police force. A well-equiped police force is a very expensive thing, so the State should provide for it, not the local governments. In areas with lots of riots and other security problems, this Act would only make matters even worse.
