Part of the Dorvish Constitution, powers of the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik. Article I The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik is the head of government and the day-to-day operator of Dorvik. The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik heads the Council of Ministers of the People's Republic of Dorvik, which is comprised of Ministers who assist the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik in their job. Article II The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik who heads the Council of Ministers of the People's Republic of Dorvik is subject to a vote of no confidence. If a vote of no confidence is called the opposing party/parties/coalition must present a new candidate for the position of Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik and new ministers of the Council of Ministers of the People's Republic of Dorvik at the time of the vote. Article III The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik must be at least 35 years old and a member of the national legislature to be considered a candidate for the office of the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik. The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik also must be a natural born Dorvish citizen. Article IV The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik may assume control of the office of the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik if the President is captured, killed or otherwise incapacitated in any way. The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik remains as President until the next election or appoint a temporary President until the next election. Temporary appointment is done by a 2/3 vote in the People's Chamber of the People's Republic of Dorvik. Article V The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik may assume the role of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Dorvik if the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik is incapacitated in anyway. Article VI The Office of the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik comprises the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik themselves and private staff selected to assist the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik in doing their job, the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik is responsible for creating, disbanding and suspending any of the positions. Article VII The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik may be impeached if they are indicted on any civil or criminal charges; the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik will be tried before the Dorvish Supreme Court and a panel of judges from throughout the nation. If the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik is found guilty, they will to be succeeded by the Vice Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik. Article VIII The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik along with the Minister of Internal Affairs and the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik may issue the order for a state of Emergency to be declared, if this is declared the Dorvik Internal Guard (National Guard) is deployed and is under direct control of the three. Article IX The Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik is assisted directly by the Vice Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik, the position of Vice Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik is appointed by the Chancellor solely. The candidate for the position must be a member of the national legislature. |
