Description[?]:
"An Act to overturn the war on religion in Likatonia. There is, of course, one true god - incarnated in the person of Abraham Königsmacher. This Act would return Likatonia to an official state religion, limit the intrusion of heretic cults from less-devout nations, and institute some commonsense policies to once again free religious Likatonians from secular oppression. This act would install the worship of the Incarnated Divinity Abraham Königsmacher, as the official (mandatory) state religion." --Tamar Traugott, Sorbanika Convocation, May 3295 |

Message | Religion is not permitted. Move along citizen. |

Message | "Likatonia has a long history of not only tolerating religion and it's open and enthusiastic display, but active participation in official state religion. Most notably, of course, the Church of the Immortal Zhelezo Immeressen, which even a casual review of Likatonian history shows to have been enormously popular - even dominant - over centuries. We encourage the 'Nacionālistu Tautas Partija Likatonijas' to familiarize themselves with the long, proud religious tradition of the people they claim to represent. There have been religious conflicts in Likatonia, before. There have been attempts to limit the expression of religion before. And the devoutly religious people of Likatonia have always sided with religion, when it came down to the wire. We welcome the apparent ambition of the 'Nacionālistu Tautas Partija Likatonijas' to make themselves increasingly unelectable to the Likatonian people. We fully expect the DRRP to profit from this anti-religious intolerance agenda". Abraham Königsmacher, Sorbanika Convocation, May 3295 |

Message | "The Likatonian people have moved on from the days of silly superstitions, thanks to the advent of secularisation, and the process of modernisation that underpins it. They reject wholeheartedly the false and subversive teachings of religion in all its forms. Furthermore, there is room for only one authority in Likatonia and that is the state. No authority can exist above the state, real or imagined. Slava Ozoliņš!" - Emanuel Klausen, Kancleri |

Message | "While we appreciate the concerns of the NTPL, we feel they are unwarranted and groundless. How can Abraham Königsmacher exist above and beyond the state, when he is an elected representative of the state? It seems to us that the NTPL are confusing the obviously real and material incarnation of Abraham Königsmacher with mythological 'gods' of the past - an obvious textbook mistake. The dfference being, of course, that the literal and material existence of Abraham Königsmacher is obvious everyday, in the Sorbanika Convocation. Indeed, we AGREE with the NTPL that those old-fashioned mythological 'gods' were mere superstition. Obviously, gods that don't exist... don't exist. Abraham Königsmacher - on the other hand - obviously exists. He has spoken many times before the Sorbanika Convocation, and maintains a summer home in Meria. His literal physical existence is beyond question. Clearly, there is nothing 'false' about the objectively verifiable existence of Abraham Königsmacher, and there can be nothing 'subversive' about teaching that things that can be objectively verified, are objectively verifiable. We are glad to have had this opportunity to help the NTPL overcome their confusion." Channah Kappel, Sorbanika Convocation, June 3295 |

Message | "Mr. Königsmacher, whoever he is - presumably a Gaduri-communist spy - is not an elected member of the state." - Emmanuel Klausen, Kancleri |
Date | 05:51:45, April 28, 2012 CET | From | AM Radical Libertarian Party | To | Debating the DORA - Defense Of Religion Act 3295 |
Message | We cannot stand idly by and allow the recently restored religious freedoms of the Likatonian people to be revoked! NO to this and any other attempt to remove freedom of choice from the people. An imposed religion is no religion at all; good can only exist if people have the choice to be bad. |
Date | 09:10:58, April 28, 2012 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the DORA - Defense Of Religion Act 3295 |
Message | "Mr. Königsmacher is quite obviously the physical incarnation of the One True God but - perhaps more importantly - he's an elected official in the Ragnavostok central administration in Sorbanika prefecture. We did not claim he was a cabinet official, but even lowly administrators are officials". Channah Kappel, Sorbanika Convocation, August 3295 |
Date | 04:20:19, April 29, 2012 CET | From | AM Radical Libertarian Party | To | Debating the DORA - Defense Of Religion Act 3295 |
Message | Should Mr. Königsmacher be the incarnation of God, a position on which we have no Official stance, he should be able to convert the population on the merits of his actions. He would not need to subvert the power of the state to impose his worship by force. Therefore, in the words of Sister Goodwinson, We Must Dissent! |
Date | 07:12:36, April 29, 2012 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the DORA - Defense Of Religion Act 3295 |
Message | "We appreciate the faith of the AM RLP. We fully expect to see some recognition of Königsmacher's divinity shortly, when we anticipate a somewhat miraculous first showing. Indeed, our own faith will be shaken if the god-fearing people of Likatonia don't recognise the divinity of Königsmacher, and reward us with a share of political representation." Random fact: The influence a bill has on elections decreases over time, until it eventually is no longer relevant. This can explain shifts in your party's position to the electorate and your visibility. |
Random quote: "Colonialism or imperialism, as the slave system of the West is called, is not something that is just confined to England or France or the United States. The interests in this country are in cahoots with the interests in France and the interests in Britain. It's one huge complex or combine, and it creates what's known not as the American power structure or the French power structure, but an international power structure. This international power structure is used to suppress the masses of dark-skinned people all over the world and exploit them of their natural resources." Malcolm X |
