Bill: Election for Speaker Proposal

Details

Submitted by[?]: Rutanian Democratic Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3297

Description[?]:

Proposed by Ronald Zion MP

Traditionally, the Speaker has been appointed by the leader of the largest party in Parliament. I tonight propose that Members of Parliament vote directly on the Speaker. We ask that each party submit a candidate for the Speaker's chair. A party does not need to submit a candidate, and can instead endorse another candidate.

This proposal is not the election for Speaker. If this proposal is accepted by Parliament, I will call for an election for Speaker.
