Message | The Tories are incompetent when it comes on to Finance. We think the Williams family would do better at Justice. The Lligro family would be best for Health & Social Services. The Karav family would be best for Foreign Affairs. Seeing as we're the largest party, we would also like the Head of Government position. Even when our family holds the throne, we sometimes allow the head of government to be from another party, but we have no problem with a Patterson head of government. The head of government should either be Williams, Patterson or Karav. All we want are Defence and Foreign Affairs. We wouldn't mind Education & Culture, but those can be left to either the Tory Party or the Lligro family. |

Message | By the way, learn the meaning of "bipartisan" Bipartisanship is the removal of political boundaries from parliaments with 2-party systems. Since Beluzia has more than just 2 main parties/factions, bipartisanship cannot exist. The correct term would be "unitary" or "multipartisan" but "bipartisan" causes any sensible person to question your literacy. |
Date | 04:20:38, May 05, 2012 CET | From | Williams Family | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 3298 |
Message | The Williams family proposes that the Pattersons draft another cabinet that puts the Karav family in charge of foreign affairs and any other family except the Tories in charge of finance. Also, we would like (though not necessarily demand) to be given Justice as suggested by the Karavs. The rest of the current cabinet proposal can stay as is as far as we're concerned. If the above criteria are met, the Williams vote on that cabinet will be Yes. I also have good reason to believe that the Karav family (and I believe the Lligros) will vote likewise and the proposal will succeed. In the event that the Tory party objects to not being given Finance, a third proposal will have to be drafted omitting them completely which will then pass. |

Message | I will vote "Yes" for a cabinet which meets the following requirements: 1) The Head of Government is from either the Patterson Family, the Karav Family, or the Williams Family. 2) The Foreign Affairs Minister is from the Karav Family 3) The Defence Minister is from the Karav Family 4) The Justice Minister is from the Williams Family or Patterson Family 5) The Finance Minister is not from the Tory Party; I would even prefer a dog or a rock. 6) The Health & Social Services Minister is from the Lligro Family 7) The Education/Culture Minister is from either the Lligro Family or Tory Party. |

Message | Same goes for me - simply apply the above criteria to the current proposal and my vote will also be "Yes". The Lligros will almost certainly support as well and if the Tories object to not being given finance and won't vote "Yes" you can simply draft another that doesn't include them. |

Message | We are not "harsh" as accused; we are simply stating our most honest opinions. You only came recently, so you don't know how "harsh" we can be. Tories wanted persons to suffer in pain in hospitals, instead of being allowed to seek Euthanasia. Such torture was not tolerated: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=345416 Tories wanted their corrupt teachers to attack children for not kissing up to them. This wouldn't be tolerated either: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=345408 |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
Random quote: “The people's war isn't just a war of destruction, it is also a war of construction. We will build new facilities, new hospitals, new farms. We will seek to improve the lives of the people around us. This struggle will be as costly as the struggle against the bourgeois army, and indeed will be even more damaging to the enemy.” - Comrade X, former Hulstrian politician |
