Bill: Forest Management Act 3300
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3301
Description[?]:
Issue: Forest Management. Current position: There is a national agency which exists side-by-side with commercial forestry companies. Proposed position: Local governments may set up forestry agencies. Where they do not, forestry is on a commercial basis. Rationale: We believe that local governments are best placed to manage local resources. If they are unable to then a commercial company may manage that area. A national agency should not be competing with commercial companies. That is inefficient in our view. |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
