Message | This legislation is an affront to every Alorian who values their spiritual liberty and the Republican Party will never support it |
Date | 01:02:39, May 08, 2012 CET | From | True Men of God Party | To | Debating the Religious Act of 3300 |
Message | This legislation allows the people of Aloria to show pride in their beliefs. Notice, nothing is mandatory. It is no more a real matter than having a dog as the national animal. Is that an insult to cats? Be rational here, no one is forcing you to do anything. And read the treaties, they are very restricting. |
Date | 08:23:36, May 08, 2012 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the Religious Act of 3300 |
Message | Mr. Speaker, this bill would be deeply damaging for Alorian society. Religion and the state have no place mixing and we have a duty to respect religious freedom including those who have no religion. Withdrawing from those treaties would have a damaging effect on Aloria, a country I might add, which prides itself on its internationalism. |
Date | 09:32:12, May 08, 2012 CET | From | Alorian Independence Party | To | Debating the Religious Act of 3300 |
Message | Article 4 has nothing to do with religion, and for this we're voting no. |
Date | 21:18:42, May 08, 2012 CET | From | Alorian Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Religious Act of 3300 |
Message | Article 4 needs to be removed. The rest of the Bill is agreeable with the ALP. The treaties listen above actively force secularism onto our citizens. Yet the Parties against this Bill mostly claim they are for the freedom of the individual yet they wish to suppress the individual;s right to a religion. None of the relevant articles make any reference to forcing religion onto someone. If this Bill is revised, removing Article 4, then the ALP will support this. Until then we will not, purely because of the presence of Article 4. |
