Message | The USA, as per our stated mandate in not involving ourselves in domestic matters would like to point that Article 6 would appear to be a great dishonour to our brave men and women who fight, and die, serving our flag. Allowing "hoodlums" and "punks" to desecrate our national flag does not seem to represent responsible government. |
Date | 03:59:35, May 11, 2012 CET | From | United Republics Party | To | Debating the Liberty Act |
Message | The "United Soldiers Association" does not understand the nature of Lodamese democracy, our people, our flag, or our law. It's an outside group with no ties to the soldiers it claims to represent. The soldiers who guard this nation know the history of our flag, a banner proposed by this party and a symbol of liberty. The URP in cooperation with others in the United Republics designed the flag and wrote our anthem. We in this party built the symbols we hold dear as icons of Lodamese rights. As authors of the anthem, we don't desire our children to sing it everyday. Our people respect the flag, but restricting their freedom to use the flag as they choose undermines the freedom it represents. Dario Vena |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
