MessageYou want to cut tax revenue by 31,000,000,000 BEL, when tax rates barely change for anyone, except those earning 2500-7499 BEL.

This only cuts a few brackets; it doesn't lower taxes for anyone.
It only allows the citizens, who depend the most on welfare, to completely avoid the responsibilities of taxes which go towards supporting their lives.

MessageAgreed. The lower tax brackets should be added back in and, if reform is necessary, then the tax percentages should be redistributed among our biggest earners so that we gain more from them while the proportions remain relatively unchanged but a break is given to lower earners.

Though, I would like to note that I do not believe that an adjustment in taxes is appropriate at this time.

MessageIt has never been "appropriate" since the Karav tax reforms.
If this bill is proposed, it will not be passed anyway.

We already have a perfect economy, and when something isn't wrong, it doesn't need to be fixed.
This is the current state of our economy: http://classic.particracy.net/budget.php?nationid=9

If we're going to cut taxes, we're going to have to make massive cuts in spending, and that means less state-provided welfare, health, and education. Government spending accounts for over 25% of Beluzia's GDP.

MessageNo cuts will need to be made if the burden is evenly distributed among the other, more well off brackets.

MessageThis will eventually lead to debt, which is expected to rise by 0.09% per year.

OOC: I don't make up the figures that I use to comment on Finance bills like tax or spending proposals.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically
