Bill: Polygamy Act 3302

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3303

Description[?]:

Issue: The Government's policy with respect to polygamy.

Current position: The government does not recognise polygamous relationships and prosecute those who pursue a polygamous lifestyle.

Proposed position: There is no explicit government policy on polygamy.

Rationale: If a married man takes a mistress then according to our laws that is not illegal. But if he is open with both women and decides he loves them both then that is illegal. That is we believe a paradox this law hopes to remove from our legislation.

Random fact: Characters are considered to be "owned" by the player who first mentioned or created them. In practice, players may share responsibility for role-playing a character, but ultimate authority rests with the owner.

Random quote: "Anarchy is the true nature of all things. Monarchy, democracy, communism, all useless forms to control the human mind. But a mind cannot be controlled. It cannot be restrained. It has no boundaries. It has its will. Anarchy is the true nature of all things." - Alex Battig
