Bill: Beluzian Boycott of the "The Inaugral Terran Decennial Festival of Modern Art"
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluz Democratic Karavist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3303
Description[?]:
---------- Foreign Minister Kuznetsov: ----- Some Beluzian leaders would never consider entering an "art" festival hosted by persons who have no respect for our own culture. This festival is too politicized, and we will not take part in it. According to a Solentian newspaper, "Madeleine Clarke believes that news of the Decennial will give the Liberals a much needed boast especially among their core vote of intellectuals." Partisan tribalism was even displayed in the Liberal Party's invitations. A royal family/house was referred to as a "party" and not a family. We never took apology for the "oversight" because we expect the same thing to happen at the festival; ignorant cultural biases will cause major oversights. We do support the idea of a cultural festival; we support what the Liberal Party claims to want to achieve. We do not, however, believe their claims. ----- ---------- |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
