| Message | This isn't different from the current budget. The tax brackets for 62,500 BEL and 65,000 BEL are provisional. They are in place so that the tax system is consistent throughout. Unlike the Stantons, we like preparation. We're not going to wait until someone starts earning 62,500 BEL before we set a tax rate for that bracket. They would have evaded taxes and broken the consistency in the rates that we set. This bill is unnecessary, and really serves no purpose. |
